Hi, my name is Chrissy. I’m a Psychodynamic Counsellor, Children and Young People Person Centred Counsellor, Life Coach and registered member of the BACP).
I work with individuals to benefit their personal mental health and wellbeing.
I also teach the Mindfulness in Schools Project .breathe programme in schools.
Our sessions are about you, not me, however it’s important you are comfortable and happy with your choice of therapist to engage with. So, if this information about me feels right for you, please do get in touch to arrange an appointment or to enquire further.
Chrissy Norwich
I’ve had a lifelong interest and fascination in human behaviour, psychological development and its relation to health and wellbeing, and have over 20 years of learning within various personal development areas (see qualifications below). This enables me to consider you as the whole person that you are [mind, body, emotions, spirituality] and your circumstances [past, present and future] in our work together.
I also have a professional background and multiple years of experience in Marketing and Project Management, working with many high profile brands and organisations, using my interest in psychology, which included mentoring personnel.
About me
I continue my own development with regular CPD to ensure updated knowledge, including training to benefit children and young people. I have a passion for enabling therapeutic support, resilience and psycho-education early in life to aid our future generation. On a part-time basis I work for Anna Freud, a child mental health research, training and treatment charity in London. You can read their 2024 manifesto here.
I have a great respect for people who want to improve their situation, no matter how hard, hopeless and confusing that might seem. Recognising you may need help and reaching out is the first step to getting personal and effective support during difficult times. Having someone there for you to talk to, privately, can be such a release, and enables you to get in touch with your thoughts, feelings and desires, without others’ influences getting in the way. The non-judgemental space is for you to talk freely and openly about topics you may not have discussed with people before, or been able to process previously, which may be keeping you stuck in coping patterns and behaviours that are no longer serving you, or with new symptoms that present themselves.
I will provide you with dedicated time to connect with, identify, or retain, your sense of [authentic] self, safely, in a way, and timeframe, that’s right for you. I recommend consistent weekly sessions for you to feel the optimum benefit of this trusting therapeutic process.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
